Most people treat the end of a cut like a finish line.

They hit their number, declare victory, and then slowly, without a plan, watch the results undo themselves. The weight comes back. The composition shifts. And they're left wondering if it was even worth it.

Someone I worked with in the past lost 7 kg in 4 months... but that's not the story.

The story is what happened after. They came out of the deficit with a structured reverse diet, raised their calories by about 600 a day, and put 5 kg back on - mostly lean tissue. Body composition held. They look better now than at the end of the cut. More athletic, more confident, and eating significantly more food.

Losing weight is only half the equation. Coming out of a cut well is a skill, and most coaches never address it.

It is important to have the structure to do it right. Progressive strength training and tools to track nutrition and habits help you stay lean and strong well after the cut ends.
